Starwarp

I chose to create Starwarp after playing Stargate on the Atari 2600, a game which itself is inspired by Defender

I was impressed with how fun and fluid the game felt to play, and I was curious how far I could take the same concept while being free’d from the restrictions of a 6502

The game is an endless scroller with multiple powerups, enemies and levels. There’s also a dialogue system with a (basic) story to follow along up with

Starwarp supports keyboard, controller and touch inputs. I spent some time getting it to work well on mobile, and I’m quite happy with the end result

For the final level I made the player ship crash and essentially ripped of space invaders to produce an epic final stand
